The famous jewelry house Cindy Chao opened its first gallery in Taipei, “ The Art Jewel gallery”, presenting the artist’s latest high jewelry masterpieces in a new setting. The idea behind this gallery is “to create an intimate and exclusive mini museum space dedicated to showcasing the Maison’s most iconic artworks” (Cindy Chao).
The Taiwanese high jewelry artist has selected Levita's unique technology to showcase 14 of her most precious creations, in an incredible space designed by the famous Dutch architect and designer, Tom Postma and Ingrid Donat.
“One of the focal points of the gallery is the large showcase embedded in a mirror wall where nine of Chao’s art jewels float inside. The “Gravity-free Showcase,” 126 inches in length and 47 inches in height, is the largest of its kind in the world, Chao claims. The levitating pieces are constantly in motion, with their appearance changing according to the lighting. From within this showcase a torso emerges displaying one of the most precious necklaces in the collection”.
