The Mandalorian & Grogu - Times Square

Turning fiction into reality, 30 meters above Times Square

For the premiere of The Mandalorian & Grogu (Disney), Levita brought a moment of pure spectacle to one of the world’s most iconic locations, making a giant popcorn levitate 30 meters above Times Square.
Unveiled on May 4th (a symbolic date for Star Wars fans) the installation transformed a cinematic moment into a real-world experience. Synchronized with the surrounding digital screens, Grogu appeared to summon the popcorn with the Force, pulling it out of the screen into reality, before sending it back in a seamless visual loop.

Designed to surprise and captivate, the installation turned Times Square into a live stage of wonder, drawing crowds, sparking amazement, and instantly filling the space with raised phones capturing the moment as it unfolded.

Powered by Levita’s technology, the installation was developed in collaboration with Air Stage, who created the giant popcorn structure.

Brought to life through Levita’s magic, the project not only transformed Times Square but also sparked wonder across the globe through images widely shared and broadcast.
